Today the Federal Aviation Administration make the announcement drone pilots have been anxiously awaiting…they have finalized the first operational rules (PDF) for routine commercial use of small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS or “drones”), opening pathways towards fully integrating UAS into the nation’s airspace. Titled “Part 107” this new regulation will bypass the tedious Section 333 exemption process and make qualified Remote Pilots certified for commercial sUAS operations.
