Issac Dickson Elementary is an Asheville city magnet school focusing on experiential learning. Their learning experiences reach far beyond the classroom and emphasize our relationship to one another, to our local community, and to our world. It’s no surprise that they have a school garden full of native plants and native bee “hotels”.
We interviewed Nina Veteto, Director of Monarch Rescue in the school garden. She frequently works with the students and they were eager to show off Monarch butterfly eggs!
