En route to Cockscomb Basin, we visited an organic cacao farm to talk about sustainable practices. The farmer gave us a tour of the plants and explained why they chose to provide an habitat that will benefit the ecosystem. We also watched the process of grinding beans into chocolate and discussed Mayan culture and the importance of being true to the roots.
