Filming the sustainable practices of Happy Cow Creamery in Peltzer, SC with the Climate Listening Project team. Farmer Tom Tratham is proud of his emphasis on year-round crops called the “12 April Program.” He achieves that by planting his 29 paddocks with a succession of crops that provide the type of growth the cows are most hungry for and that boost milk production.
We captured a bird’s eye view of the farm, and really got to take a good look at the variety of lush fields that simulate April year-round. Farmer Tom was thrilled to witness this phenomena from the sky for the very first time!
Here’s a compilation of the aerial clips, which will be included in the “Cultivating Resilience” feature. Don’t forget to view on YouTube in full resolution 4K.
