Filming for the next video of the Climate Listening Project installment sponsored by the Natural Resource Defense Council, we wanted to incorporate social justice into an episode about the impact of climate change on business.
Dayna Reggero and I joined activists around the state at the NC Climate Justice Summit, with a capstone presentation by Rev Yearwood of the Hip Hop Caucus, along with people coming together from around the NC to share climate stories, ideas and solutions.
NCCJS enhances resilience through exploring community-based approaches to climate change mitigation and adaptation. By convening people across lines of difference–different ages, races, classes, geographies, issue areas and strategies–the Summit broadens grassroots engagement in the climate justice movement at the local, regional and state levels.
